• RPV Statement on GOP, Democrat Candidate Events

RPV Chairman John Whitbeck issued the following statement:

“Today, Ralph Northam and Tom Perriello will appear together in Bristol. It’s fitting that this event takes place just a few miles and hours away from a race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The race is scheduled to have 1,200 left turns — almost as many as Perriello and Northam will make on stage.”

“Saturday’s forum will be a race to see who can be the most anti-coal, the most pro-abortion, or who can propose the highest job-killing minimum wage hike. And with policies like these, there are no winners, and Virginia working families lose.”

“Meanwhile, Republican candidates will be putting forward common-sense ideas to improve our Commonwealth, and talking about the kitchen table issues that matter most to Virginians. While Democrats race to the left, Republicans will be focused on making Virginia a better Commonwealth for all.”
