DESCRIPTION:District Treasurer George Clark informed me shortly after 5:00 p.m. today that only one candidate had filed to be District Chairman.  The provisions of the Call we approved at our February 5 meeting\, state\, “If only one (1) qualified candidate files for District Chairman\, that candidate shall be deemed elected and the Convention cancelled.” \nConsistent with and fulfilling the provisions of the Call\, the District Convention of the 1st Congressional District of the Republican Party of Virginia is hereby cancelled. \n  \nAs Chairman of the 1st Congressional District of the Republican Party of Virginia and pursuant \nto the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the District Committee\, I\, Jeff \nRyer\, do hereby issue this Call for a District Convention to be held at Atlee High School\, 9414 \nAtlee Station Rd\, Mechanicsville VA 23116-2600\, or its alternate site\, starting at 10:00 a.m. \nEDT\, with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. EDT\, on June 4\, 2022\, for the following purposes: \n1.
