The Call for the Convention shall provide Military Members the deadline and e-mail address by which to send their declarations. SUMMARY:Patrick County Mass Meeting
DESCRIPTION:OFFICIAL CALL \n  \nMass Meeting of the Patrick County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia \n  \nAs Chairman of the Patrick County Republican Committee\, and pursuant to the \nPlan of Organization\, I\, Matthew W. Holt\, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Virginia Motorsports Museum & Hall of Fame located at 212 Wood Brothers Drive\, Stuart\, Virginia 24171\, in the Patrick Community Center\, home of the Patrick County Community College at Dehart Park in Stuart\, Virginia\, starting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday\, April 26\, 2022 for the following purposes: \n  \n1) Electing a Unit Chairman\, Vice Chairman\, Treasurer\, Secretary\, and members of the \nPatrick County Republican Committee; and \n2) The transaction of such other business as may properly come before the meeting. \n  \nQualifications for Participation: \nAll legal and qualified voters of Patrick County under the laws of the Commonwealth of \nVirginia\, regardless of race\, religion\, national origin or sex\, who are in accord with the principles \nof the Republican Party and who\, if requested\, express in open meeting either orally or in writing \nas may be required\, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the2 ensuing \nelection\, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings\, \nparty canvasses\, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts. \nIn addition to the foregoing\, to be in accord with the principles of the Republican Party\, \nunless otherwise stipulated by the appropriate Official Committee\, a person otherwise qualified \nhereunder shall not have participated in Virginia in the nomination process of a party other than \nthe Republican Party within the last five years. \nA single exception to this shall be approved for a voter that renounces affiliation with any \nother party in writing\, and who expresses in writing that he/she is in accord with the principles of \nthe Republican Party and intends\, at the time of this writing\, to support the nominees of the \nRepublican Party in the future. Any voter that utilizes the forgoing exception\, and thereafter \nparticipates in the nomination process of a party other than the Republican Party\, shall not have \nthe benefit of the exception thereafter. \nVoters may be required to produce a valid form of photo identification acceptable for \nvoting purposes in order to participate in the aforementioned mass meeting or conventions. \n  \nFiling Requirements for Mass Meeting: \nCandidates for election as Chairman\, Vice Chairman\, Treasurer\, or Secretary of the \nPatrick County Republican Committee are required to pre-file their intention to seek such \noffices. A written statement of intent containing the following details shall be required: full legal \nname\, office sought\, physical and mailing address\, email address\, and telephone number. Such \nstatement must be received by 6:30 PM on Tuesday\, April 12\, 2022\, by mail to Patrick County Republican Committee\, 128 Homestead Ct. Patrick Springs\, VA 24133\, or in-person at the Mass Meeting. \nNominations for Chairman will not be permitted from the floor of the Mass Meeting. Postmarks do not govern and it is the responsibility of the candidate to confirm receipt of the declaration. \nShould only one candidate file for Chairman\, then the Mass Meeting shall be cancelled \nand replaced with a regular meeting. \n  \nRegistration Fees for Mass Meeting \nThere will be no required registration fee to participate in the Patrick County Republican \nCommittee Mass Meeting. \n
