DESCRIPTION:For a Mass Meeting for the Gainesville Magisterial District of the Prince William County\nCommittee of the Republican Party of Virginia\nAs Chairman of the Prince William County Committee of the Republican Party of\nVirginia\, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed\nby the Committee\, I\, Denny Daugherty\, do hereby issue this call for a 2023 Mass\nMeeting of the Gainesville Magisterial District to be held at Bull Run Middle School\,\n6308 Catharpin Road\, Gainesville\, VA on May 6\, 2023:\nPrince William County Gainesville Magisterial District Republican Mass Meeting\nThe 2023 Prince William County Gainesville Magisterial District Republican Mass\nMeeting shall be held on May 6\, 2023\, at Bull Run Middle School\, 6308 Catharpin Road\,\nGainesville\, VA beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon or at its alternate site and/or time as\ndetermined by the County Republican Chairman\, if necessary. Such need may arise\ndue to the facility ceasing to be available or a determination that it will not\naccommodate the anticipated number of participants. Registration for the Mass\nMeeting will open at 10:00 a.m. Doors to the auditorium will close at 12:00 p.m.\nnoon\, with registration continuing until all eligible persons in line at 10:00 a.m. are\nprocessed. Balloting will not begin until all eligible persons in line at 10:00 a.m. have\nbeen registered and credentialed.\nThe 2023 Prince William County Republican Mass Meeting for Gainesville Magisterial\nDistrict shall be held for the following purpose:\nA. To select the Republican nominee for the Gainesville District Supervisor in the\nNovember 7\, 2023 General Election;\nB. To transact such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.\nThe County Republican Chairman shall appoint a temporary chairman\, secretary\, and\nother necessary officers until the permanent officers are selected. \nOnly registered voters from the Gainesville Magisterial District\, Prince William County\,\nVirginia who meet the qualifications for participation and register to do so may vote\nin the mass meeting. Participation of others\, as speakers or in administration of the\nmeeting\, is subject to permission from the temporary or permanent chairman of the\nmeeting.\nVoting on the choice of nominee will be conducted by secret ballots\, with candidates\nlisted on the ballot in an order determined by the drawing of lots on the day after the\nfiling deadline to which the candidates will be invited. No absentee voting\, proxies\,\nor provisional ballots are permitted.
