Pace\, do hereby issue this call for a Mass \nMeeting to be held in the General District Court Room\, Chatham\, VA\, starting at \n7:00 PM local time on Thursday\, March 30\, 2017 for the following purposes: \nNominating Republican Candidates for the following offices of the County of \nPittsylvania: \nBoard of Supervisors – one for each of the three Magisterial Districts \nBanister \nCallands-Gretna \nDan River \nSuccessful Candidates to be the Republican Nominees voted for in the Virginia \nGeneral Election on November 7\, 2017 and for the transaction of such other \nbusiness as may properly come before the Mass Meeting. \nQualifications for Participation: \nAll legal and qualified voters of the Banister\, Callands-Gretna and Dan River \nMagisterial Districts within Pittsylvania County under the laws of the \nCommonwealth of Virginia\, regardless of race\, religion\, national origin\, or sex\, \nwho are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who\, if \nrequested\, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required\, \ntheir intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election\, \nmay participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in this Mass \nMeeting of the Pittsylvania County Republican Committee. \nCandidate Filing Requirements: \nFor election or nomination at said Mass Meeting\, candidates shall file a written \nstatement of intent by mail or in person\, to Will Pace\, Chairman\, P.O. Pace\, do hereby issue this call for a Mass \nMeeting to be held in the General District Court Room\, Chatham\, VA\, starting at \n7:00 PM local time on Thursday\, March 30\, 2017 for the following purposes: \nNominating Republican Candidates for the following offices of the County of \nPittsylvania: \nBoard of Supervisors – one for each of the three Magisterial Districts \nBanister \nCallands-Gretna \nDan River \nSuccessful Candidates to be the Republican Nominees voted for in the Virginia \nGeneral Election on November 7\, 2017 and for the transaction of such other \nbusiness as may properly come before the Mass Meeting. \nQualifications for Participation: \nAll legal and qualified voters of the Banister\, Callands-Gretna and Dan River \nMagisterial Districts within Pittsylvania County under the laws of the \nCommonwealth of Virginia\, regardless of race\, religion\, national origin\, or sex\, \nwho are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who\, if \nrequested\, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required\, \ntheir intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election\, \nmay participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in this Mass \nMeeting of the Pittsylvania County Republican Committee. \nCandidate Filing Requirements: \nFor election or nomination at said Mass Meeting\, candidates shall file a written \nstatement of intent by mail or in person\, to Will Pace\, Chairman\, P.O. Box 212\, \nChatham\, VA 24531\, or by email to pittsylvaniagop@gmail.com which must be \nreceived not later than Thursday\, March 23\, 2017 at 7:00 PM. It is the \nresponsibility of the candidate to confirm receipt of the statement of intent by the \nChairman. Our guest speakers will be members of the Bedford and Franklin Board of Supervisors\, Chairman Curry Martin and Bob Camicia\, both of whom have direct knowledge and influence on our lives and futures at Smith Mountain Lake. Please join us for an important discussion about the issues and challenges for the citizens of both Franklin and Bedford counties and Smith Mountain Lake.
