The Northampton County Republican Party Unit issues a call on May 25, 2022 via the Units Facebook page via and event post. I, Robert W. Stubbs, Chairman, Northampton County Republican Unit, call for a Unit Meeting for June 2nd, 2022 in person at the Eastville Community Center , 17202 Courthouse Rd Eastville, VA 23347. Please come and attend and participating in this meeting. The meeting will commence at 7:00 pm and will conduct a regular business. District Treasurer George Clark informed me shortly after 5:00 p.m. today that only one candidate had filed to be District Chairman. The provisions of the Call we approved at our February 5 meeting, state, "If only one (1) qualified candidate files for District Chairman, that candidate shall be deemed elected and the Convention cancelled.” Consistent with and fulfilling the provisions of the Call, the District Convention of the 1st Congressional District of the Republican Party of Virginia is hereby cancelled. This Convention has been cancelled in accordance to the Call.
