HD33 LDC Meeting

I, Vito F. Gentile, Chairman, HD33 LDC, hereby issue a CALL for a MEETING of the HD33 LDC on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 4:30 PM in the Conference/Training Room of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office Building, 810 North Main Street, in Woodstock, VA for the purpose of (a) to approve the CALL for a Meeting of the HD33 LDC on July 29, 2025 to fill a vacancy for the HD33 Republican Candidate in the 2025 November 2025 General Election in accordance with authority provided by Article VII, Section F in the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party of Virginia (aka, the State Party Plan) and (b) the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the HD33 LDC.Individuals with valid proxies will be seated in accordance with the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party of Virginia.

The membership of the HD33 LDC consists of unit representatives of each unit, wholly or partially, in HD33.  The LDC includes the Unit Chairmen of Shenandoah and Page Counties, a Rockingham County Representative (for the precincts of Bergton, Fulks Run, Lone Pine, Broadway, Timberville, and Lacey Spring) and a Warren County Representative (for the precincts of Bentonville and Browntown).

The vote of each HD33 member shall be weighted in proportion to the Republican Party Voting Strength of the respective unit in the 33rd House District.  For this purpose, the Republican Party Voting Strength will be the sum of the Republican Votes cast for the Republican Party Presidential candidate in 2024 and the Republican Party Gubernatorial candidate in 2021.  The RPV indicates the weighted vote in the HD33 LDC as follows:

Shenandoah County     50.23%
Page County                 28.79%
Rockingham County     18.19%
Warren County              2.79%
