Abigail Spanberger Is the ‘Parents Last’ Candidate
Abigail Spanberger has made it crystal clear: she’s not on the side of Virginia parents.
This week, when asked about Fairfax County high schools secretly facilitating abortions for students without notifying parents, Spanberger refused to say whether parents have a right to know. Her silence speaks volumes. Time and again, Spanberger has shown that she believes bureaucrats and progressive ideologues—not moms and dads—should be in charge of raising children.
Spanberger even bragged about being endorsed by radical former Delegate Elizabeth Guzman, the far-left Democrat who introduced a bill that would have thrown parents in jail if they didn’t “affirm” their child’s gender confusion. That’s not compassion—that’s authoritarianism.
In Congress, Spanberger voted against the Parents’ Bill of Rights, opposing legislation that simply said parents have the right to know what their children are being taught and how schools are treating them.
She’s also voted to:
- Allow biological males to compete in girls’ sports
- Let men use girls’ restrooms and locker rooms in K-12 schools without informing parents
- Support schools hiding gender transitions from families
Just like Terry McAuliffe in 2021, Spanberger doesn’t think parents should have a say in their child’s education. She and her far-left allies think they know better than you do—and they’re determined to shut you out of the conversation.
Abigail Spanberger is the “Parents Last” candidate.
Virginia families deserve a governor who will empower parents—not erase them. That’s why Virginians are uniting behind Lt. Governor Winsome Sears, who has been a champion for parental rights, transparency, and common sense since day one.
