Abigail Spanberger Admits She Would Turn Virginia Into Sanctuary State for Violent Criminal Illegal Aliens
Abigail Spanberger, famous for failing to take a firm stance on the most important issues to Virginia voters, finally made clear one action she will take if elected governor: turning Virginia into a sanctuary state for violent criminal illegal aliens just like California and New York.
According to Virginia Mercury:
“Democratic nominee for governor Abigail Spanberger says one of her first acts if elected would be to undo Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s February directive requiring Virginia law enforcement to help carry out federal immigration crackdowns — a policy she argues wastes local resources and undermines community trust.”

“‘Our immigration system is absolutely broken,’ she said. ‘The idea that we would take local police officers or local sheriff’s deputies in amid all the things that they have to do, like community policing or staffing our jails or investigating real crimes, so that they can go and tear families apart… that is a misuse of those resources.'”
Abigail Spanberger just took the mask off – she’s an America Last open borders extremist just like Ghazala Hashmi, Jay Jones, and all of her far-left elitist allies in DC. While Spanberger gets to live safely behind her armed guards, Virginia families are being victimized by the violent criminals she and Joe Biden let flood into our country for four years.
The only people “tearing apart families” are the criminals like Jose Aguilar-Martinez, an illegal alien from El Salvador who carjacked and then fatally ran over a grandmother in Virginia last year. Or Jose Velasquez-Martinez, an illegal alien who stabbed a man to death in Warrenton this year. Or Denis Romero, the illegal alien who choked a Virginia police officer, was released, and later raped two women.
This is who Abigail Spanberger stands up for. This is who she believes makes our Commonwealth strong – not honest, hard-working Virginia families, but violent criminal illegal aliens.
Governor Youngkin, Lt. Gov. Sears, and Attorney General Miyares have made working with federal immigration authorities a top priority. Virginia Republicans understand that in order for our Commonwealth and our nation to be strong, our border must be secured and our laws must be enforced.
Our communities simply can’t afford an open borders radical in the governor’s mansion. Abigail Spanberger is too extreme for Virginia.
