DEMOCRATS’ BORDER FAILURES CONTRIBUTE TO MODERN DAY SLAVERY
As Glenn Youngkin seeks to unite Virginians around a plan to end modern day slavery, it’s important to highlight the Democratic policies that have created a border crisis and, in turn, contributed to human and sex trafficking across the United States.
Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson issued the following statement taking Democrats to task for their weakness:
“Democrats in Washington and Richmond have supported open border policies that have created a humanitarian crisis on our southern border. As a result, human traffickers and drug smugglers are having a field day. Glenn Youngkin is bringing bold leadership and fresh thinking to this race and he should be commended for putting forth a plan to end the modern day slavery of human and sex trafficking.”

- This includes 14,158 unaccompanied children, key targets to be victims of human or sex trafficking.
- The Biden-Harris border crisis has created “new human trafficking problems” for elected officials in the United States.
- More deadly fentanyl has been seized so far in 2021 than throughout all of 2020.
