Party Canvass of the 9th Virginia Senate Legislative District

As Chairman of the Legislative District Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia (“RPV) for
the 9th Virginia Senate District under the lines prior to the 2021 redistricting, and pursuant to the
RPV Plan of Organization and applicable law, and as recommended and directed by the
Committee, I, Jimmy Brooks, do hereby issue this call for a Party Canvass to be held at 3429
West Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221, beginning at 12:00 noon local time and ending at 2:00
pm local time on Sunday February 26, 2023, for the sole purpose of selecting a Republican
nominee to run for in the Special Election to held on March 28, 2023, to fill the seat of Member
of the Virginia Senate for the 9th Virginia Senate District under the lines prior to the 2021
redistricting recently vacated by the Honorable Jennifer McClellan (“Special Election”)
