Smyth County GOP Mass Meeting

OFFICIAL CALL

Mass Meeting

of the Smyth County Republican Committee

of the Republican Party of Virginia

As Chairman of the Smyth County Republican Committee, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as

recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Adam L. Tolbert, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be

held at the Adwolfe Volunteer Fire Department, 104 Thomas Bridge Rd., Marion, VA, 24354 (or its alternate location),

starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 for the following purposes:

1) Electing a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and members of the Smyth County Republican

Committee;

2) Electing up to 390 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia State

Convention, to be held Friday, May 31, 2024 and Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Hampton Roads Convention Center,

1610 Coliseum Dr., Hampton VA 23666, or its alternate site, opening at 2:30 p.m. on May 31 for the purposes of:

a) electing a State Chairman,

b) nominating a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman,

c) nominating 2 electors at-large to serve in the 2024 Electoral College, and

d) for the transaction of other business as may properly come before the Convention.

Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes cast for Governor and President at their

last election, so that Smyth County is entitled to 78 Delegate Votes;

3) And, for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
