OFFICIAL CALL

Mass Meeting

of the Surry County Republican Party

of the Republican Party of Virginia

As Chairman of the Surry County Republican Committee (DCRC) of the Republican Party,

and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I,

Bill Etchison, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at 2144 Colonial Trail W, Dendron,

VA 23839 , starting at 7:00 p.m. local time, with registration beginning at 6:30 p.m., on

Wednesday, April 13, 2021, for the following purposes:

a) Electing an unlimited  Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the

Virginia State Republican Convention, to be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, beginning at

9:00 a.m., for the purpose of nominating one (1) Republican candidate each for the

offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General in the November 2,

2021, General Election, and for the transaction of such other business as may properly

come before the convention. Surry County is entitled to sixty five (65)  Delegate Votes; and

                              b) For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the mass meeting.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR

PARTICIPATION

All legal and qualified voters of Surry County under the laws of the Commonwealth of

Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin, or sex, who are in accord with the

principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting, either orally

or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the

ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass

meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election

districts.

FILING

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for election at said mass meeting should complete the form at the meeting or online at virginia.gop.Gov

To be considered for election at said mass meeting, form must be completed or the signed paper

filing form must be returned by mail to Bill Etchison, 223 Meadowlark lane, Surry, VA 23883

which must be received not later than 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Postmarks shall not govern.

In the event the number of candidates properly filed does not exceed the number of Delegates to

be elected, those candidates shall be deemed elected and the Mass Meeting cancelled.

There will be no registration fee to participate in this mass meeting.
