Washington County Canvass

As Chairman of the Washington County Republican Committee, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Lindsey J. Holman, do hereby issue this call for a Party Canvass to be held at the Washington County Government Center, 1 Government Center, Abingdon, VA 24210, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time on March 26th, 2022, for the following purposes:
1. To elect a unit chairman and committee members;
2. Electing up to 780 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Ninth Congressional District Republican Convention, to be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Wytheville Meeting Center, 333 Community Blvd., Wytheville, VA 24382, or its alternate site, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (with registration from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) for the purposes of:
a. electing a District Chairman, and
b. the transaction of other business as may properly come before the Convention.
Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes cast for Governor and President at their last election, so that Washington County is entitled to 156 Delegate Votes Delegate Votes.
