Abigail Spanberger Would Destroy Women’s Sports As Governor
Abigail Spanberger supports allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports—stealing scholarships, breaking records, and putting female athletes at risk.
Though she tries to sell herself as a moderate, Spanberger is entirely controlled by radical transgender activists. In Congress, she voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which would have guaranteed that women’s sports remain for women only. That bill simply said what most Americans already believe: biological males should not be competing against girls in school sports.
Spanberger didn’t stop there. She also co-sponsored the so-called Equality Act, a dangerous piece of legislation that would have forced schools nationwide to allow men into women’s teams, locker rooms, and competitions—stripping away Title IX protections and overriding state and local authority.
When asked who should set policy on transgender athletes, Spanberger said she trusts the Virginia High School League and the NCAA—unelected bodies that have already allowed biological males to compete against women in Virginia and across the country.
Polls show nearly 80% of Americans oppose allowing men in women’s sports, but Spanberger doesn’t care. She’s sided with extremists at every turn.
Spanberger’s record is clear: she would dismantle protections for women and girls in Virginia, just as she tried to do in Washington. Virginians deserve a governor who will stand up for women—not erase them.
