Mass Meeting of the Mathews County Republican Committee

As Chairman of the Mathews County Republican Committee, and pursuant to the Plan of
Organization of the Republican Party of Virginia and as recommended and directed by the
Committee, I, Sonny Fauver, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the
Mathews County Historic Courthouse, 17 Church Street, Mathews VA 23109, starting at 6:00
PM, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, for the following purposes:
1. Electing a Unit Chairman for the Mathews County Republican Committee;
2. Electing up to ninety (90) Members of the Mathews County Republican Committee. All
precinct posts will be filled by order of filing and then any precinct overflow will be put
in as at-large members.
3. Electing up to one hundred fifty (150) Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the
District Convention of the 1st Congressional District, to be held on May 4, 2024, at King
William County High School, beginning at 10:00 AM, for the purpose of:
• Electing a 1st District Chairman of the Republican Party;
• Electing three (3) members of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of
Virginia;
• Nominating one (1) Republican candidate for Elector for President and Vice
President of the United States for the election to be held on Tuesday, November 5,
2024; and
• For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the
Convention.
4. Electing up to one hundred fifty (150) Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the
State Convention, to be held on May 31-June 1, 2024 at the Hampton Roads Convention
Center, beginning on 5/31 at 2:30 PM and on 6/1 at 10:00 AM, for the purpose of:
• Electing a State Chairman;
• Electing a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman; and
• Nominating two (2) Electors At-Large to be voted for in the presidential election on
November 5, 2024; and
• For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the
Convention.

5. Any business that is properly brought before the Mass Meeting.
