Amherst County Mass Meeting

As Chairman of the Amherst County Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the committee, I, S. Vance Wilkins, Jr., do hereby issue this Call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Madison Heights Community Center, 424 Woody’s Lake Road, Madison Heights, Virginia 24572, beginning at 7:00 pm local time on February 28, 2022. Registration begins at 6:00 pm local time.
THE PURPOSE OF THE MASS MEETING is to:
- Elect a Chairman for the Amherst County Republican Committee
- Elect members to the Amherst County Republican Committee
- Elect up to 415 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia 5th Congressional District Convention to be held on May 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Kirby Field House at Hampden-Sydney College, 198 Athletic Center Drive, Farmville, VA 23901, or an alternate site if necessary. The purpose of the Convention is: a) Election of District Committee Chairman, b) Election of Republican Nominee for U.S. House of Representatives, and c) Transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Convention. Amherst County will have 83 delegate votes.
