Giles County Mass Meeting

As Chairman of the Giles County Republican Committee, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and
as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Mae Midkiff, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting
to be held at Giles County Republican Headquarters, 116 Tazewell St., Pearisburg, VA 24134 (or its alternate
site), starting at 6:00 PM (with registration opening at 5:30 PM) local time on February 24, 2022 for the
following purposes:
1. To elect a unit chairman, vice-chairman, treasurer, and secretary and members to the unit committee;
2. Electing up to 255 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Ninth Congressional District
Republican Convention, to be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Wytheville Meeting Center, 333
Community Blvd., Wytheville, VA 24382, or its alternate site, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (with registration
from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) for the purposes of:
a. electing a District Chairman, and
b. the transaction of other business as may properly come before the Convention.
Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes cast for Governor and President
at their last election, so that Giles County is entitled to 51 Delegate Votes;
3. And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the mass meeting.
