Halifax County Republican Committee Mass Meeting

for a
Mass Meeting of the Halifax County Republican Committee
As Chairman of the Halifax County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to
the “Republican Party of Virginia Plan of Organization” (hereinafter referred to as the “State Party Pan”) and as
recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Andrew D. Ferguson, do hereby issue this call for a Mass
Meeting of the Halifax County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia to be held at the
Cluster Springs Volunteer Fire Department (1009 Black Walnut Church Road, Alton, Virginia 24520), or
alternate location, with registration beginning at 5:45 p.m. and the meeting coming to order at 7:00 p.m. local
time on Friday, March 8, 2024 for the following purposes:
a) Electing a Halifax Committee Chairman;
b) Electing up to 76 total members of the Halifax County Republican Committee of the Republican Party
of Virginia as provided for in the “State Party Plan” and the “Halifax County Republican Committee Plan
of Organization”.
c) Electing up to 380 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the 5th Congressional District
Convention, to be held on the 27th of April 2024 at the Drakes Branch Volunteer Fire Department (4801
Drakes Main Street, Drakes Branch, Virginia 23937), or alternate date and location, beginning at
10:00am for the following purposes:
1) Election of a District Committee Chairman
2) Election of 3 State Central Committee Members:
3) Election of 1 Elector for the 2024 Presidential Election:
4) Transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Convention.
d) Electing up to 380 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia’s
Statewide Convention, to be held May 31st
-June 1st, 2024 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center
(1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton Virginia 23666) beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and reconvening at
10:00 a.m. on Saturday:
1) Nominating two Electors At-Large to cast ballots in the electoral college in the presidential
election on November 5, 2024;
2) Electing a State Chairman;
3) Nominating a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman;
4) And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Convention.
