Alexandria Party Canvass of the Republican Party of Virginia
As Chairman of the Alexandria Republican City Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia,
and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I,
Annetta Catchings, do hereby issue this call for a Party Canvass to be held at the Minnie Howard
Campus of Alexandria City High School, 3801 W Braddock Rd, Alexandria VA 22302, from
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 7, 2024, for the following purposes:
a) Electing a Unit Chairman;
b) Electing members of the Unit Committee as follows:
101 – Old Town North – 3
102 – City Hall – 3
103 – Lyles Crouch – 5
104 – Durant Center – 3
105 – Lee Center – 3
106 – Cora Kelly – 4
107 – Mount Venron – 4

c) Electing up to 570 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the 8th Congressional
District Convention, to be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Knights of Columbus,
8592 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309 at 6:00 pm for the purposes of (i) Electing
a District Chairman of the Republican Party; (ii) Electing Three Members of the State
Central Committee; and (iii) Selecting an Elector to be voted for in the presidential
election on November 5, 2024. Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250
Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Alexandria is
entitled to 114 Delegate Votes.
d) Electing up to 570 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the State Convention,
to be held from May 31, 2024 to June 1, 2024, at the Hampton Roads Convention
Center, 1610 Coliseum Rd, Hampton VA 23666, for the purpose of (i) Selecting two
Electors At-Large to be voted for in the presidential election on November 5, 2024; (ii)
Electing a State Chairman; and (iii) Nominating a National Committeeman and National
Committeewoman. Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican
votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Alexandria is entitled to
114 Delegate Votes.
