Mass Meeting of the King William County Republican Committee

As Chairman of the King William County Republican Committee, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party of Virginia and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Lindsay May Robinson, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11:00 am, EST or an alternate location, for the following purposes:
a) Electing a Unit Chairman
b) Electing up to 220 members of the Unit Committee
c) Electing 220 Delegates and 220 Alternates to the 1st Congressional District Convention as listed below:
d) Electing 220 Delegates and 220 Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia Quadrennial State Convention as listed below:
1st Congressional District Convention:
The 1st Congressional District of the Republican Party of Virginia will be held at King William High School, 80 Cavalier Dr, King William, VA 23086-3657, or its alternate site, starting at 10:00 a.m . local time, with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. local time, on Saturday, May 4, 2024 , for the following purposes:
1) Electing a District Chairman of the Republican Party;
2) Electing three (3) Members of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia;
3) Electing a Republican candidate for Elector for President and Vice President of the United States for the election to be held on November 5, 2024; and
4) For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention.
The District Convention comprises delegates and alternate delegates based on a percentage of the total number of Republican votes cast in each county and city in the last gubernatorial and presidential elections combined. The maximum number of delegates for each unit is up to five times its respective Delegate Vote. The maximum number of delegates and alternate delegates allowed for King William County is 440. If you want to be a delegate, follow the pre-filing instructions and submit the form with the specified filing fee. Candidates for the Chairman, Members of the State Central Committee, and Elector positions should submit their candidate declarations and fees in writing directly to the 1st Congressional District Republican Committee.

The State Convention is on May 31, 2024, beginning at 2:30 PM to be held at the
Hampton Roads Convention Center to adopt the rules of the convention. The election of Chairman, National Committeeman and Committeewoman and electors is on June 1, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am. Delegates and alternate delegates will represent units based on Republican votes in each county and city in the last gubernatorial and presidential elections. Each unit has at least one (1) Delegate Vote and its maximum number of delegates can go up to five (5) times its corresponding Delegate Vote.
