Mass Meeting
of the Poquoson Committee
of the Republican Party of Virginia
As Chairman of the Poquoson Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Colleen Holcomb, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Poquoson Public Library, 500 City Hall Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662, at 7:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024, with registration beginning at 6:00 PM, for the following purposes:
- a) Electing a Unit Chairman;
- b) Electing Members of the Unit Committee;
- c) Electing up to two hundred ten (210) Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the1st Congressional District Convention to be held at King William High School starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with registration beginning at 8:00 AM, for the following purposes:
- Electing a District Chairman;
- Electing three (3) Members of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia;
- Nominating one (1) Elector to be voted for in the presidential election on November 5, 2024; and
- For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Convention.
- Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per two hundred fifty (250) Republican votes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Poquoson is entitled to forty-two (42) Delegate Votes.
- d) Electing up to two hundred ten (210) Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the State Convention to be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center starting at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024, and 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, for the following purposes:
- Electing a State Chairman;
- Electing a National Committeeman and a National Committeewoman;
- Nominating two (2) Electors At-Large to be voted for in the presidential election onNovember 5, 2024; and
- For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before theConvention.
- Each unit is entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per two hundred fifty (250) Republicanvotes for Governor and President at their last election, so that Poquoson is entitled toforty-two (42) Delegate Votes.
- e) For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the MassMeeting.
