March 28 SCC Meeting Cancelled
Dear State Central Committee Member,
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, President Trump and the CDC recommend that no gatherings of 10 or more people be held. Governor Northam today announced that he was banning such gatherings. Shortly thereafter, the Richmond Convention Center advised us that the space for our meeting on March 28th is no longer available.
In order to protect the health of all and to comply with the recommendations and bans in place, we have no alternative but to cancel the March 28th meeting of the State Central Committee.
Please know that I am working with the Executive Committee of RPV to address the impact of this pandemic on our mass meetings and conventions. We have a call scheduled for tomorrow evening and expect further clarification to come from that call.
