RPV Echoes Senate Republicans’ Call to End Mask Mandate

Richmond, VA – Today, in light of recent CDC recommendations, the Republican Party of Virginia echoed the Senate Republicans’ call for Ralph Northam to end Virginia’s mask mandate.

Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson issued the following statement:

“It is time for Ralph Northam to repeal his mask mandate and start following the science of the situation. After shuttering Virginia schools, businesses, and churches for an entire year – and causing crippling and unnecessary damage to education, children, families, small businesses, jobs, and the economy – it’s time for this Governor to lead for once in his four-year term. Yesterday’s announcement by the Centers for Disease Control confirms that wearing a mask – while fully vaccinated – has no benefit.

“The Republican Party of Virginia calls on Ralph Northam to immediately rescind Virginia’s mask mandate. It’s time for Virginians who have been fully vaccinated to breathe freely once again, and it’s time to permit Virginia schools, businesses, and economy to begin the long road to recovery after Democrat mismanagement over the last year.”
