RPV Responds to Northam Administration’s Self-Congratulatory Post-Election Report

Richmond, VA – Today, Chris Marston, General Counsel of the Republican Party of Virginia, addressed the Virginia Department of Elections at its meeting to criticize the Northam Administration’s Post-Election Report. Marston’s written comments to the report are available here. The Department’s report is available here.

Rich Anderson, Republican Party of Virginia Chairman, issued the following statement:

“Governor Northam’s administration congratulated itself on the November 2020 election. Not surprisingly, they claimed that the most chaotic election in modern memory was ‘the most safe, secure, and successful election in the history of the Commonwealth.’

“The Republican Party of Virginia and its Election Integrity Working Group continue to work hard on improving our elections, but Democrats in the General Assembly are passing every bill possible to eliminate election integrity protections, making this critical grassroots work even more important.

“I thank Election Integrity Working Group Co-Chairs Brenda Hankins, Barbara Tabb, and Clara Belle Wheeler for their leadership on this critical issue.”
