VIRGINIA GOP CALLS ON TERRY MCAULIFFE TO ADDRESS RISING CRIME AND FUNDING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson today released the following statement on preventing violent crime and ensuring public safety:
“Democrats, including Terry McAuliffe, have supported a litany of efforts that have the effect of defunding Commonwealth law enforcement agencies. With violent crime on the rise, I am calling on Terry McAuliffe to denounce any efforts to ‘defund the police.’”
Homicides in Virginia are at their highest level in 20 years.
