VIRGINIAGOP CHAIRMAN RELEASES STATEMENT COMMEMORATING JUNETEENTH
VirginiaGOP Chairman, Rich Anderson, released the following statement commemorating Juneteenth.
“Today, our nation commemorates the abolition of slavery in 1865, and we honor the fight made by liberty-loving men and women in the pursuit of a more perfect Union.
“156 years ago was a joyous and hard-earned day, and Americans and Virginians know that much work remains to be done to fulfill the ideals of our Founding Fathers. Let’s commemorate and celebrate this historic and joyful day for our Nation, while also honoring the noble road traveled in the name of liberty and civil and human rights.”
