“WE GOTTA SHUT THESE BORDERS DOWN”
Amidst all the furor about Terry McAuliffe not turning on his grill or not having basic knowledge of Virginia’s voting and gun laws, Terry McAuliffe touted another endorsement from a liberal group that wasn’t excited enough about his candidacy to endorse him in the primary.
That group? CASA in Action. Its purpose? To serve as “the foremost Latino and immigrant organization in the Mid-Atlantic region and a national leader in supporting immigrant families…”
In accepting the endorsement, Terry McAuliffe said, “After four years of Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric and actions towards our immigrant communities, we need to continue having a governor who will stand up for all Virginians – particularly our immigrant families.”
CASA in Action may be surprised to learn that Two-Faced Terry McAuliffe didn’t always feel this way.
In a January 30, 2007, interview on KPCC, Terry McAuliffe said in response to caller John in Santa Monica:
“I couldn’t agree more, we gotta shut these borders down. Absolutely. These people shouldn’t be coming in this country. We need to enforce our border protections. We have to do something with the people who have been here for years and who have paid taxes, so we are for people who have been in this nation, who have been paying taxes, raising their families. But for the people who have not been here, who have been here illegally and who have taken advantage of the situation, we need to have a plan to get them back to the countries they came from. But more importantly, which is the first thing John talks about—we gotta shut these borders down, I couldn’t agree more!…I don’t care if you are Democrat or Republican, we all agree you gotta shut the borders down. People coming into our nation, taking our jobs…First and foremost, which I couldn’t agree more, we gotta shut these borders down. And we gotta spend more money on the enforcement of this and we gotta start it today.”
In case you lost count, Two-Faced Terry McAuliffe called for the shut down of our borders four (4) times, more enforcement two (2) times, and for the United States to send immigrants back where “they came from.” He also issued a Kamala Harris-esque plea for immigrants to not come to the United States at all.
If it’s a day that ends in “y,” you can be assured that 40-year Political Boss Two-Faced Terry McAuliffe is lying or flip-flopping his way around the Commonwealth.
