As Chairman of the Alexandria Republican City Committee, pursuant to the Plan of Organization of the Republican Party of Virginia and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Peter Benavage, do hereby issue this call for a Party Canvass to be held

Starting at 11:00 am EST until 2:00 pm EST on Saturday, March 12, 2022 for the following purposes:
- Electing a Unit Chairman;
- Electing Precinct and At-Large members of the Alexandria Republican City Committee, as follows:

There will be a single filing for precinct and at-large members. All precinct posts will be filled by order of filing and then any precinct overflow will be at-large members.
- Electing up to 570 Delegates and an equal number of Alternate Delegates to cast 115 Delegate Votes at the 8th Congressional District Biennial Convention, to be held on May 21, 2022 at Waterford Event Center, 6715 Commerce St, Springfield VA 22150, or its alternate location, beginning at 9:00 am EST for the purpose of:
- Electing a District Chairman;
- Nominating a Republican candidate for member of the U.S. House of Representatives to be voted for at the election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022;
- And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention.
