Official Call for a Mass Meeting of the Rockingham County
Republican Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia on March 20, 2024
Call issued February 21, 2024
As Chairman of the Rockingham County Republican Committee of the Republican Party of
Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I,
Daryl Borgquist, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Hose Company 4,
Rockingham County Fire Department, 2654 Port Republic Road, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801, or
alternate site, at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, or alternate date, for the following purposes:
1. Elect Delegates and Alternates to represent the Committee at the Republican 6th Congressional
District Convention which shall be held on May 11, 2024, or alternate date, at the Rockingham
County Fairgrounds, 4808 S. Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA, or alternate site, starting at 10:00
A.M. The Rockingham County Committee shall have 228 delegate votes. The maximum number
of delegates who may represent Rockingham County shall be 1140.
At the District Convention, Delegates will elect a District Chairman, three Regional Vice-
Chairmen, three Representatives to the State Central Committee, three Delegates and three
Alternates to the National Convention, and one Presidential Elector.
2. Elect Delegates and Alternates to represent the Committee at the Republican Party of Virginia
2024 Quadrennial Convention which shall be held on May 31-June 1, 2024, or alternate date, at
the Hampton Roads Convention Center, or alternate site. The Rockingham County Committee
shall have 228 delegate votes. The maximum number of delegates who may represent
Rockingham County shall be 1140.
At the State Convention, the Delegates will select two Electors-Large to be voted for in the
election on November 5, 2024, elect a State Chairman, and nominate a National Committeeman
and National Committeewoman.
3. Elect the Chairman of the Rockingham County Republican Committee.
4. Elect members of the Rockingham County Republican Committee.
5. Transact such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.
