RPV Statement on Northam’s Proposed Money-Wasting Budget

Richmond, VA – Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson released the following statement regarding Governor Northam’s proposed amendments to Virginia’s budget, announced yesterday in a press release with the headline “Governor Northam Presents Budget Amendments to Restore Progressive Agenda”:“If there was an award for wasting taxpayer dollars, Ralph Northam would be nominated every year. For decades, Democrats have tried to solve problems by shoveling heaps of money onto them to no avail. Why they think it will work this time is an affront to simple human logic. “Our students are struggling, our law enforcement officers and public safety are under assault by Democrats, and Virginia families

RPV Statement on Terry McAuliffe Gubernatorial Announcement

Richmond, VA – RPV Chairman Rich Anderson released the following statement on Terry McAuliffe’s announcement that he will seek to destroy Virginia one more time run for governor once again. “Terry McAuliffe’s new campaign for governor could not be a worse fit for the Democratic Party in Virginia. A Governor who spent four years taking credit for signing Republican legislation now attempts to cast himself as a progressive champion. The ‘pro-business’ McAuliffe is looking for support from a party that espouses socialism and wants to defund the police. “McAuliffe’s entire four-year term was the definition of style over substance. When Virginians needed their

Anderson Advance Letter

I’m writing to notify you that we are cancelling the 2020 Donald J. Huffman Advance that was scheduled for the weekend of December 4-5 at the Homestead Resort. After consulting at length with the SCC Executive Committee on the evening of November 16th, I reluctantly made this decision in the best interest of our party and members.  Due to the Governor’s amended, misguided, and arbitrary COVID-19 restrictions, we have been forced to cancel the 2020 Donald. J Huffman Advance. In his no-questions-allowed video message just before the close of business this past Friday, he limited gatherings to just 25 people

Message from RPV Regarding Election Integrity

Fellow Virginians, I first want to say that President Trump and all of our candidates are grateful for the many volunteer poll watchers, grassroots volunteers, and voters who have called or emailed to share their concerns about election integrity. The way results are reported in Virginia has led to some confusion. The reporting percentage is of the number of precincts, not the number of total votes. This year, over 40 percent of voters cast their votes early or by mail. All of those votes were reported in one precinct, the Central Absentee Precinct, in each city and county. Nearly 2,500 precincts

RPV Statement on Election Night Results

Richmond, VA – Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Rich Anderson issued the following statement on last night’s election results: “I first want to thank every single one of our candidates for putting themselves on the frontlines of our fight for freedom and liberty this year. I know firsthand the dedication, work, blood, sweat, and tears it takes to run for office. Virginia thanks you, and I hope to see each of you stay in the fight to take back our Commonwealth. “Republicans put Virginia on the map last night, and not one of us should bemoan the ultimate result. Through a combination

Election Integrity Remains Intact for November 3 Contest

Richmond, VA – Earlier this month, a lawsuit was filed against the Department of Elections asking a court to issue a common-sense ruling – a state agency cannot change rules set out in a law passed by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor. Yesterday, the Court ruled to prevent the Virginia Department of Elections from accepting absentee ballots received up to three days after Election Day without legible postmarks. “There was a big win for election integrity and the rule of law in Virginia yesterday,” said Rich Anderson, Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia. “In a lawsuit brought by two of our

Qasim Rashid is a Con-Man

Richmond, VA – Democrat candidate for Congress in Virginia’s First Congressional District, Qasim Rashid, has been taking money from his own campaign to pay himself a salary. According to his FEC Form 3 Reports of Receipts and Disbursements dated 7/1/2020 and 7/15/2020, Rashid received disbursements that total $18,014.37 as of the most recent filing. Rashid began paying himself from his “Rashid for VA” account beginning in January 2020 when he formally declared as a candidate. Rashid’s financial disclosure forms show no earnings from any job in 2019 and 2020, save for payments he made to himself from his campaign. Rashid went up on television earlier this month with an ad that

RPV Statement on Extended Voter Registration Deadline

Richmond, VA – Today, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia ruled that citizens of Virginia may register to vote until 11:59 PM Thursday, October 15. RPV Chairman Rich Anderson issued the following statement: “Judge Gibney did the right thing by extending the registration deadline until Thursday. Voters should not be penalized for the latest of the Northam administration’s failures in election administration.” “RPV has two public service announcements today: Citizens – if you’re not registered, put in your application by Thursday; State Government – Call Miss Utility at 811 before you dig.”

Mike Pence Utterly Destroys Kamala Harris

Richmond, VA – “Tonight, Kamala Harris proved she is the most liberal member of the United States Senate. Her support of Joe Biden’s socialist agenda would destroy American livelihoods and unravel the incredible work the Trump Administration has accomplished. The choice could not be more clear – President Trump and Vice President Pence will uphold the rule of law and continue to lead Virginians on the Great American Comeback.”
